September | Friday-Sunday | 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Explore an array of natural history exhibits about local wildlife such as ravens, weasels, lynx, and black bears. Free Nature Hikes and Snowshoe Tours are also offered from the Nature Discovery Center.
The Nature Discovery Center located in a yurt and is accessed via the Eagle Bahn gondola out of Lionshead in Vail, adjacent to the Eagle’s Nest building. All ages welcome, free admission. All visitors must have a valid ski pass (in winter) or Vail Scenic Ride Ticket (click here to see current pricing & purchase online) in order to ride the gondola. Please note that the Nature Discovery Center is not open if the gondola is not operating.

Directions
1) From I-70 exit 176 and head west on South Frontage Road
2) Park at the Lionshead parking structure
3) Head towards Eagle Bahn Gondola Please note: All visitors must have a valid ski pass or Vail Scenic Ride Ticket in order to ride the gondola.

Snowshoe with Us!
Come join a Naturalist for a free guided snowshoe tour on Vail Mountain at 10:30am and 1:30pm, Wednesday-Saturday. These programs are for those 10+ years old and registration is required. REGISTER HERE. Soak in the mountain top views and learn more about the environment we all enjoy exploring! Please come prepared with snow pants, warm hats, gloves, sunglasses/ski goggles, sturdy winter boots, and water in order to spend an hour and a half outside in the winter environment at above 10,000 ft in elevation. All tours will meet at the Nature Discovery Center atop the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead and require a valid ski pass or scenic ride ticket.
